Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).
Clinical Psychologist: $220 per session (approximately 50-55 minutes). With a MHCP, you will be reimbursed $141.85
NDIS
Individuals using their NDIS plans won’t have any gaps to pay. The entire session is covered by NDIS funding. We currently only accept self and plan-managed NDIS participants.
Confidentiality.
We understand the importance of your confidentiality and privacy. Everything discussed in sessions will be kept confidential, however there are a few exemptions. In the event we have serious concerns about your safety or someone else’s safety, in matters of child protection, where you disclose involvement or critical information regarding a serious criminal offence that has not been brought to the police previously, we maintain an obligation to notify relevant bodies. In certain situations, clinical notes can be subpoenaed by court, please consider this if you are currently involved in legal matters.

Do you offer Medicare rebates?
Yes. Medicare can cover part of the costs for a session. The current Medicare rebate is $141.85 for a Clinical Psychologist. Please see your GP for a Mental Health Care Plan referral to access this rebate.

Do you see children?
We see clients from 16 years and up. However, we can recommend child focused psychologists.

What technology do I need for a session?
If you have a phone or a computer with a webcam you should be good to go! Prior to each session, we will email you a link from which you can access the appointment. Simply click on the link and check that your webcam and microphone are on.

What mental health concerns do you treat?
We work with a range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, sexuality, emotion regulation problems, and relationship problems. In addition, we have particular interests in working with trauma, people who are trying to manage difficult relationships with others who have high-conflict or narcissistic traits, survivors of religious trauma, people struggling with sexual difficulties, and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Sharleen is bilingual and speaks Spanish.

What therapy style do you use?
We utilize a range of therapy styles including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. However, first and foremost, our focus is to provide a safe and supportive environment and develop a strong working relationship with each person. We tailor our treatment to suit you and your needs.

Yes, but they are limited. Please contact us to enquire.

What are your cancellation fees?
If a scheduled appointment is cancelled with more than 24 hours notice provided, we will not charge a cancellation fee. If an appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time, we will charge a $55 fee. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment, and do not provide at least 24 hours notice, we will charge the full session fee.
